Q. Where can I find info about a specific decorating topic like canopy beds and kitchen countertops?

A. Use the SEARCH BOX located in the gray bar near the top of each page. Type in a word and press "Enter" for a list of matches. You can also check the ARTICLES AND RESOURCES list for the category that covers your topic (like Bedrooms and Kitchens).

Q. What are the ARTICLES AND RESOURCES that are listed on the left side of every page?

A. These pages make it easy to find articles and helpful information from all over the web. Click on the DECORATING BY ROOM category, for example, to see information on Children's Rooms with decorating ideas and lots more for kids rooms.

Q. Where can I find information about design educations and careers?

A. Choose the EDUCATION and CAREER link in the ARTICLES AND RESOURCES list that appears on the left side of every page. Here you'll find tips, links to schools, and advice to students.

Q. What are the items in the ESSENTIALS box on the left side of each page?

A. The ESSENTIALS Box features five links to seasonal and basic decorating information. You'll find FAQs, holiday ideas, tips, style guides, and more. Check it out!

Q. What media outlets have recognized this site?

A. About's Decorating website has received numerous press mentions, interviews, and article reprints in publications including The New York Times, Decorating Solutions, and Newschannel 4 (NBC) in NYC.

Q. I'm a vendor or manufacturer. Where can I send samples, review copies, or promotional materials?

A. You are welcome to send an email (click on the Guide photo) if you would like to submit books, product review copies, samples, and the like. However, please note I'm unable to offer import/export referrals or trade references.

Q. How can I request an article reprint?

A. All pages on About.com are Copyrighted. To request a reprint, search for the "copyright" page, then email a site's guide. A request for up to 2 articles must first be approved by ABOUT's New York Reprints Department using a simple form.

Q. How do I contact the Guide of a site?

A. To contact any Guide on our site, click on the Guide's name located on the top left corner of the particular site. You will then be brought to a page containing their e-mail address or other information that you can use for contact purposes.

Q. How do I unsubscribe from newsletters?

A. To unsubscribe from any newsletter, a link is provided at the bottom of the newsletter itself, including instructions on how to be removed. You can also remove yourself from newsletters by visiting: http://talk.about.com

Q. How do I update my e-mail address on newsletters?

A. To update your e-mail address on any About newsletter, you will need to unsubscribe the old address first, then resubscribe with the new address you wish to use. This can be done by following the instructions at the bottom of the last copy of the newsletter you received or directly from the GuideSite by clicking on Newsletter. You can also remove yourself from newsletters by visiting: http://talk.about.com

Q. How do I submit my website to About.com search?

A. If you are interested in placing a link on our site, please e-mail the Guide directly. The Guide will then consider your link for inclusion. Please note that requesting a link does not guarantee a listing on any About site. For a complete listing of About Guide Sites, please visit: http://a-zlist.about.com.

Q. How can I get permission to reprint information/graphics from About.com?

A. In order to get permission, you will need to submit a reprint request form. Please allow 3-4 business days for your information to be reviewed. Someone will then contact you with further details.

Q. How do I change my Member name?

A. Once you have created a member account on the About network, the Member name assigned cannot be changed. In order to use a different Member name, you will need to register again at the Member Center.
